Overview
Skardu, the main city in the Skardu district of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, was once its capital. Situated at an elevation of 2500 meters (8202 ft.) in the Skardu Valley, where the Indus and Shigar Rivers meet. Skardu is a special place with landmarks that tell stories of history and nature’s beauty. In the beautiful part of Northern Pakistan, Skardu is a really special place. It’s got amazing landmarks that share stories about the past and the beauty of nature. The big Skardu Fort stands tall and tells us about the old times, showing off the culture of the area. There’s also the calm Shangrila Resort by the peaceful Shangrila Lake, a perfect place to relax. Another cool spot is the Shigar Fort and the clear waters of Upper Kachura Lake.
